2010 Plans
We will be opening the fourth bedroom (currently the locked room on the ground floor, which is used as a store for linen and cleaners equipment etc.). By having the loft room lined and floored this winter (it’s secure, but not air tight) we can move the storage upstairs. The 4th bedroom will be furnished as a single room and already has air con and a balcony.
We also have plans to have a stone barbeque built by the terrace. This was always our plan, but the build was very behind, and there just wasn’t the time back then. Hopefully we can get the same stone as the villa design, and create an attractive, practical addition to the garden. We know barbequing is popular, and guests have been getting a lot of use out of the small temporary gas barbeque we have. We have a few barbeque utensils, ready to take over with us next time.
When the villa was built, it was supposed to have a poolside shower. Unfortunately, when we arrived it wasn’t there. More importantly there was no pipe work laid for one to be added. We’ll be looking at this again over the winter.
When we order our furniture for the 4th bedroom, we hope to add some storage for the bathrooms. We realise the family bathroom, in particular, needs a shelving unit and maybe some more towel rails.
Unfortunately our sun lounger cushions haven’t reacted well to the Dalyan sun and are looking pretty bad! We’ll be having a look around for some new cushions that will hopefully look better for a little longer!
We’ll be at the villa before the start of the 2010 season. We already have a stash of bits and pieces to add a little extra to guest’s holidays: more DVD’s, CD’s, childrens’ books and games, oven gloves (couldn’t find ANY in Dalyan) and an updated version of the welcome book. We’ll be bringing over a guest book for the guests to write in too.
While we’re there, we’ll get a really good idea of how things are looking and can give the place a lick of paint and replace/repair anything damaged or tired looking.
