Icmeler And Around…?
I’m going on holiday with my family next month to Icmeler and I’d like some information because I’m afraid I know very little about Turkey. My mum wants to go to Ephesus, would that be possible as a day trip? How far is it from Icmeler? How much would the journey cost? How much would seeing Ephesus cost? What time is the latest we could visit? My brother wants to see the tombs in the rocks, I’m sorry I don’t know where that is though, is it Dalyan? How far away is that from Icmeler? How much would that cost? Please answer any of these questions or give some other information you think might be interesting or useful for me! I don’t expect I’ll get many answers so thank you if you do take the time to respond!

My parents bet Marmaris (and therefore ?çmeler) is best in this season. We can’t convince them to come back to the city just yet.
Ephesus isn’t very near. You have to spend the whole day going, visiting and coming back, I assure you it is worth the trouble. You can just imagine yourself in those ancient times.
If you take the Dalyan boat trip, you will see the King’s Tombs, too. As far as I know it is forbidden to visit them, because of the possible damage of thousands of feet could cause, but the boats go near and you can take lots of photos.
I’m not sure now, but I think boat trip was something like 30 YTL per person, including lunch, not including drinks on the boat.
Don’t know about any possible Ephesus trip, because I had seen the place long time ago.
And ?çmeler ISN’T five minutes walking distance from central Marmaris. It is 10 minutes by car, and you can find many cheap minibuses shuttling between Marmaris and ?çmeler.
Enjoy!
Ephesus And The kings tombs are verrryyy easy to do in icmeler if you walk along the beach in icmeler there is alot of tour guides that will give you great deals for these trips and normally very cheap. Also if you goto Marmaris which is a 5 minute walk away it is cheaper there. The kings tombs is a very good trip, you will get picked up from your hotel by a coach which will take you to dalyan and the rest is a boat trip.. also your tour operator will offer the Dalyan in a day package which offers you a tour of dalyan, the kings tombs and also a turkish mud bath all with meals included. The epheses one is similar your hotel will offer the Ephesus trip so it will all be sorted for you all you have to do is pay, or you could do it independently and book it yourself either way they both offer the same things. Hope it helps (:
