Getting Around Turkey: How Long From Places Like Icmeler To Olu Denize?
Posted by Bryden on February 18th, 2010 | 3 comments
We are wanting to go to turkey in june, and have never been before, but want somewhere with picturesque beaches (the sort that are clear or turqoise coloured) with things to do in the day like shops excusions.
Olu denize looked perfect, but i really want to go to the mud baths of dalyan and or the hot springs of pumakkale. How long does it take to travel between olu to somehwere like icmeler or dalyan and is it expensive by dolmus? Can you get boat trips to rhodes from olu denize or nearby?
Thanks for any help.

from marmaris area to fethiye area will take about 1.5 to 2hrs by car. There’s a tunnel now after Dalaman that will take you straight into Gocek, so you don’t have to pass over that mountain anymore and it cuts your travel time tremendously.
I would recommend hiring a car, if you feel confident to drive, because it is a beautiful drive and you can stop at any place you like.
For Pamukkale, as said above see if you can go on a day trip, not sure how busy it is there in June.

before coming , you should look at these website , I think it helps you decide something. I know this is not your question’s answer but I wanted to help.:)
fethiye – marmaris/icmeler is 3 hours with bus and 2 hours with your own car.
there are local tour operators in fethiye. you can have daily visit to pamukkale or dalyan with them which is more easy and cheaper.
daily boat trips from oludeniz and fethiye cost approximately 25 lira. lunch (barbecue, pilaf/pasta, watermelon/salad) is included to the price.
rhodes is 1.5 hours far away with flying dolpins.
