Summary 2009 Season

relax

We’re so pleased that everyone enjoyed their summer holidays at the villa. We had some fantastic feedback, with many people keen to return. In fact one family enjoyed their May holiday so much, they returned at the end of September.

There have been many improvements during 2009. We appointed a new management team, Richard and Kim, who are doing a fantastic job looking after our guests and the villa. A huge amount of piece of mind for us. They really look after guests, and their attention to detail ensures the villa is always at its best and guests are looked after the way we have always hoped they would be. If you were there this year, we hope you agree. Their gardener is doing a grand job and the plants are looking great, with maturity in most plants now filling the garden out nicely. The banana trees are huge!

Our previous maintenance company insisted that there was no need to use a laundry, and that the cleaner could take care of all towels and linen with our own washing machine and iron. It was only when we arrived, following the 2008 season, and checked the linen cupboard, we realised that nothing was being ironed, and it just didn’t look great. In a 4 hour window between guests, washing, drying & ironing is just not achievable. Richard & Kim found us a great laundry service, which worked perfectly throughout this season, and now everyone has crisp white towels and linen, professionally laundered.  The company also draw attention to stains that won’t come out, and we can just dispose of these straight away. No-one likes stained linen or towels!!!!

Being at a private villa, without a rep, can be a worry for some…..just in case something happens. For this reason, we’ve put in a Turkish mobile phone for emergency use. Richard & Kim’s number is on it, and they can be reached 24/7. All other emergency service numbers are in the welcome book.

Mozzie screens have been fitted to some of the windows, allowing air to circulate when needed. Mainly at night when you want air – but no mozzies! They are in all the bathrooms.

We’ve managed to get a new travel cot/playpen. We have bought an extra mattress for it too, for added comfort, as well as waterproof mattress covers. We can report that a recent 22 month-old guest slept very soundly in the cot!

We have a second set of keys for guests now.

This year we had to remove the bikes we had in 2008 as it was proving to be an impossible task keeping them road worthy for the next guest. There is a bike hire company in Dalyan so we are looking at options of a rental delivery service so you can have bikes for your stay.
